Canada–Ukraine Agrarian Development Inc. (CUAD, Saskatchewan) will work with Tavaria State Agrotechnical Academy (TSAA, Zaporizhzhya ) to see the formation of community based producer groups with a mandate of informing the TSAA of the agricultural production needs of household producers and small farm operations. Project activities will include the establishment of three working groups / focus groups comprised of household producers and small farm operators with the mandate of making their agricultural production and marketing needs known to the TSAA. Developing a strategic communication plan is also essential and is aimed at increasing the ability of the extension unit within TSAA to communicate with household producers and operators of small farms, with respect to the services and information the unit can supply to the producers – how to be more responsive to the needs of the client.

Status: Quarter 1 activities complete
